Tips for air frying oven recipes
An air fryer is essentially a small, powerful convection oven. Hot air circulates quickly around the food, so it cooks faster and more evenly than a conventional oven. As a rule of thumb, drop the temperature by about 20°C (25°F) and the time by about 20%, then check early.
A few practical notes: don't overcrowd the basket — air needs to flow around each piece; shake or flip food halfway through; and use a little oil on items you want crisp. Delicate or very wet batters don't transfer well, but roasted vegetables, chicken, fries and reheated leftovers are ideal.
