Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso
  • A spoonful (~15 ml) of steamed milk foam

Method

  1. Pull a single shot of espresso.
  2. Steam a small amount of milk to a glossy microfoam.
  3. Spoon a small dollop of foam onto the centre of the shot.
Barista tip

“Macchiato” means stained or marked — it should still look mostly like espresso.
