Ingredients

  • 1 double shot (≈40 ml) espresso
  • 40 ml steamed milk, barely any foam

Method

  1. Pull a shot into a small glass.
  2. Steam milk to silky texture with only a thin layer of foam.
  3. Pour an equal volume of milk through the crema.
Barista tip

The milk “cuts” the acidity — cortado comes from the Spanish cortar, to cut.
