How to make a Caramel Macchiato

You'll need

4 items
  • 15 ml vanilla syrup
  • ~200 ml steamed milk
  • 2 shots espresso
  • Caramel sauce

Weigh your dose and your water. A gram or two changes the cup, so a coffee scale beats eyeballing every time.

  1. Stir the vanilla syrup into the bottom of a tall glass.

  2. Add the steamed milk and a layer of foam.

  3. Pour the espresso through the foam so it “marks” the milk.

  4. Finish with a crosshatch of caramel sauce on top.
