How to make a Café Mocha

You'll need

3 items
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso
  • 20 to 30 g dark chocolate or 2 tbsp cocoa
  • ~180 ml steamed milk

Weigh your dose and your water. A gram or two changes the cup, so a coffee scale beats eyeballing every time.

  1. Melt the chocolate (or whisk cocoa) into the hot espresso until smooth.

  2. Steam the milk to a velvety texture.

  3. Pour the milk in and finish with foam, and whipped cream if you like.
