How to make a Matcha Latte

Whisked green tea and steamed milk — no coffee needed.

Ingredients

  • 2 g (1 tsp) ceremonial matcha
  • 60 ml hot water (~80 °C)
  • 200 ml steamed milk
  • Honey to taste

Method

  1. Sift the matcha into a bowl to remove lumps.
  2. Add the hot water and whisk in a zig-zag until frothy.
  3. Steam the milk, sweeten with honey, and pour the matcha in.

Use water below boiling — boiling water makes matcha bitter.
